Vastukalp was founded by Anand Prakash Sharma, an accomplished architect and planner with over four decades of professional experience in India and abroad. A graduate of the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi (1981), Mr. Sharma brings a strong academic foundation combined with extensive hands-on expertise.

 

He began his career with the renowned firm Kanvinde Rai & Chowdhury, gaining early exposure to large-scale institutional and public projects. His professional journey later took him beyond national boundaries when he was deputed by the Government of India as Senior Architect to the Royal Government of Bhutan. During this tenure, he contributed to several landmark national projects, including the National Assembly of Bhutan, Paro International Airport, and the National Referral Hospital, among others.

 

In 1994, Mr. Sharma returned to India to establish Vastukalp, driven by a vision to create thoughtful, functional, and enduring design solutions. Today, his leadership continues to shape the firm’s multidisciplinary practice across architecture, planning and engineering,—guided by experience, integrity, and a deep understanding of context.
